NOT Glass!

Glass Dreams

. . . . Welcome to my dreams of glass, I hope you enjoy your visit.

In our rapidly changing world, we are losing species of plants and animals at an alarming rate.  But in the past, we have also lost the knowledge of whole artistic techniques and processes.   The history of Pāte de Verre (paste of glass) is the history of a lost and re-found process.

I use this lost and then rediscovered process to reproduce elements of the natural world.  In this way I attempt to capture the fleeting beauty of the natural world with a process that itself was once thought to be extinct.  To me, this ancient process is as necessary to the beauty of the world as are the ancient forms of flora that I cast.
